Rebecca’s work with children from Nursery to Year 6 has been nothing short of exceptional. Her sessions are characterised by a vibrant energy and a deep commitment to engaging every child in meaningful, creative learning experiences.
Rebecca’s enthusiasm is infectious, and she has a natural ability to capture the attention and imagination of pupils across all primary age groups. Her sessions are carefully structured yet flexible, allowing children to explore drama in a way that feels both safe and exciting. She creates an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and confident to express themselves.
One of Rebecca’s greatest strengths is her commitment to pupil voice. She actively listens to the children’s ideas, encourages their input, and weaves their suggestions into the structure of each session. This approach not only boosts engagement but also fosters a strong sense of ownership and pride in the work they produce. Children are empowered to shape characters, contribute to storylines, and even suggest staging ideas, which enhances their creativity and critical thinking.
Rebecca uses a wide range of drama techniques—including role play, improvisation, freeze frames, and movement work—to develop pupils’ skills in communication, collaboration, and performance. Her sessions often culminate in mini performances that can be created in just a few weeks. These performances are a testament to her ability to inspire and guide children in a short time, and they are always well-received by parents and carers, who frequently comment on the confidence and joy their children display when performing.
Rebecca’s impact on our pupils has been profound. She nurtures talent, builds confidence, and most importantly, ensures that every child has fun while learning. I wholeheartedly recommend her for any role involving creative work with children.

Rebecca is a teacher whose passion for what she does oozes from her whilst she brings each child into the story of the piece. We were absolutely astounded by the quality and standard of the pieces she created with our primary-aged children, something I have only seen matched by children at a higher secondary/college level. The scripts and music were brilliant, and Rebecca’s calm, encouraging, confident and creative delivery made every child feel they could step up to the bar – which they truly did! There were children auditioning for main roles that would never have put themselves front and centre and their performances were incredible – truly astounding when some of these children had such low self-esteem and anxiety before experiencing Rebecca’s magic. Each child grew so much in their confidence and performance during the project and had lots of fun too. Rebecca truly challenged them, encouraging and supporting them in her ever positive, kind and nurturing way to enable them all to meet her high standards. They saw something in themselves that they had not yet tapped into and their parents were absolutely stunned. Thank you Rebecca – your talent and creativity is incredible and you are a truly lovely lady who we have loved working with! You brought our children out of themselves and showed them how talented they are; we have never seen anything so special – we can’t wait to work with you again.

Kathy O’Grady, Farnworth Church of England Primary School, Assistant Headteacher

We recently booked Rebecca again to lead her fabulous ‘Meet the Bard’ Course over twelve sessions. We had a range of secondary SEN classes with varying physical and learning needs. Rebecca expertly led the two groups that we chose, one lower and one higher, and pitched the plays to the learners’ needs wonderfully. There was a challenge but also accessibility for all across the whole course. She used music and video to compliment the drama, and created some extremely effective short performances.  The children got a chance to shine and perform in ways that they had not before. The levels of performance that she managed to produce with the students were outstanding. We would proudly showcase our performances to anyone!

Rebecca, you have made the whole Shakespeare experience such a joy for the children and for the staff. We have all loved it and can’t thank you enough!

St Margaret’s CE Primary School, Warrington

Rebecca did weekly PPA cover across all of the classes in our small school over two terms. Words cannot express how absolutely incredible she was with our children and the lasting impact that it has had in terms of the children’s confidence, self esteem and enthusiasm for expressive arts; many of our children now attend drama classes outside of school. Rebecca became a key member of our staff team and worked exhaustively to provide incredible learning experiences for our children within the expressive arts area of learning. She listened to what we wanted and provided a bespoke plan for each of our classes which linked with the topics the classes were covering as well as linking brilliantly to the new Welsh Curriculum. Rebecca built up fantastic relationships with both the children and their parents and even provided end of term showcases for the parents to come and watch their work. We at Ysgol Licswm could not recommend enough bringing Rebecca on board to provide some authentic learning experiences for your children.

Stacey Jones, Ysgol Licswm CiW Primary School
Barrow Hall Year 6 children had an amazing experience with Rebecca and the ‘Meet the Bard’  workshop day.
The workshop allowed children to deepen their understanding of the history at the time of William Shakespeare, as well as immersing themselves further into the story of Romeo and Juliet.
It allowed all children to participate and was pitched at a level which supported all confidence abilities. Due to this, it was excellent to see children come alive when they acted alongside the music- the final piece was amazing!
I cannot recommend this workshop to any teachers who have taught William Shakespeare throughout their scheme of work, as it is fantastic for embedding speaking and listening skills and deepening learning. Amazing!
Thank you again Rebecca
Faye Worral, Barrow Hall Primary School
Rebecca, we would just like to say thank you so much for the amazing Shakespeare sessions over the past 12 weeks.
The children have all learnt so much and it was throughly enjoyed by all. It was wonderful to see ALL children involved (including so many children who often have such difficulties remaining in class) – they have really thrived. You were amazing with the children and they loved working with you. Your choice of music and the use of videos really brought the plays alive.
We really look forward to working with you again next year!
Kirsty France, St Bede’s Catholic Junior School

The ‘Meet the Bard’ workshop was fantastic. Each and every child was enthusiastic with the drama, which hasn’t always been the case, and fully engaged in the task/activities. Our English focus has been on Romeo and Juliet for a couple of weeks now and this was a perfect, kinaesthetic way for the children to develop their understanding of the feelings/emotions of the characters further.

In addition, this has been a great opportunity for us to see the children in a different light in preparation for the End of Key Stage 2 performance by Y5/Y6. There were a couple of children that we wouldn’t have believed would have excelled as much as they did which was lovely to see. Thank you very much Rebecca

Claire Whittaker, Deputy Headteacher, Callands Primary School

Year 4 have had the most incredible time with Rebecca in their Happy Young Minds sessions. Watching their confidence grow from Day 1 leading up to their final performance was just fantastic and we couldn’t be prouder of them all! The children have enjoyed every second of it.

We just want to say a huge thank you to Rebecca for making each and every child believe in themselves, she was amazing with them and it is definitely an experience they’ll treasure and take the skills with them through the years to come.

Olivia Guy, Murdishaw West Community Primary School

Wow, I really loved the Shakespeare work that Rebecca has created…outstanding! Rebecca is creative and enabling. She keeps the children well focused and on both the drama and the learning. She is creative and clear and very good at telling the story of Macbeth and drawing the children into it. I thoroughly enjoyed her lessons and want to congratulate her on a fantastic scheme of work!

It has been an absolute pleasure having Rebecca undertake drama classes with the Owls class; definitely worthwhile and a fabulous experience. Rebecca has an endearing charm and personality that captivated the pupils quickly. The pupils have had so much fun, were fully engaged and excited for each week to arrive. Each session the pupils were enticed by the inclusive warm up games, before a range of drama activities. The pupils learnt about the works of Shakespeare and presented their own modern versions of Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet. The culmination of their efforts was made in to the most amazing video, which the pupils, parents and whole school community have thoroughly enjoyed. We can’t praise Rebecca enough for the fantastic drama journey into the world of Shakespeare. A massive thanks for everything

Sarah Skinner, Brookfield Special Education School

There are no words for how spectacular the performances were today. I have never seen children perform so confidently and with such passion, enjoyment and enthusiasm. They were totally engaged and owned their work. The staff were in tears! They can’t thank you enough and it really showed them what the children can actually achieve!
We can’t thank you enough for all that you have done and are thrilled you are coming back to work with us next year.

Lynne Hanley, Widnes

I would like to express my sincere thanks for all you have done for the children and staff at Gorsewood. I can not overstate the significance and positive impact you have had. You have given our children a sense of belief by providing them with the confidence and skills to shine. Their lives have been enriched by the experiences you have provided and you have inspired many to become involved in drama. In terms of staff you have given them so many ideas and the confidence to try things for themselves.
You have impressed me with your calm and reassuring manner and have remained dedicated to our children and they have always look forward to working with you.

Janette Greg, Headteacher at Gorsewood Primary School

Rebecca is an inspiring teacher who really gives every child confidence and develops their abilities, even our youngest children in the EYFS are inspired to step out of their comfort zones and thoroughly enjoy participating in her drama workshops. Each lesson Rebecca planned supported the EYFS curriculum especially in building confidence and developing children’s speaking, listening and attention skills.

Andrea McCoy Assistant Head Teacher, Windmill Hill Primary School, Halton.

The children look forward to drama each week and are now confident in talking about British Values and what they represent. The children have enjoyed exploring the Suffragettes movement and Shakespeare and are now eager to learn more which is wonderful. The children’s confidence in lots of areas has grown massively and parents have commented on how much the children are enjoying their work too. The children are looking forward to performing their work and share what they have learnt with the rest of the school as well as parents/carers.

We would be interested in hearing about future projects going on that could be rolled out across other year groups within school as we feel it’s been such a fantastic experience! Thank you Rebecca for all your hard work.

Sankey Valley St James Primary School, Warrington

The British Values Project has had an extremely positive impact in our school. It has raised the profile of British Values through an exciting and engaging learning experience for the children. The children in Year 5 have had the opportunity to use many drama techniques to explore the themes, democracy, rule of law, mutual respect and tolerance and individual liberty. This has not only improved their knowledge and understanding of British Values, but it has developed their skills as performers. The children have thoroughly enjoyed working with Rebecca. Their final performance is extremely powerful and they are looking forward to performing it for the rest of the school.

Natalie Mills, Teacher at Barrow Hall Primary School, Runcorn

Rebecca has been fantastic. Our children have a much better understanding of British Values and their drama skills have greatly improved. We have watched the children grow into such mature performers. They have all thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Emily Wells, Teacher at St Gerards School, Warrington.

Thank you Rebecca, our Y3 children have loved working with you. Their Work has been Amazing!

Beechwood Primary School

Having taught in schools for many years, I have worked with lots of drama teachers, but none have come close to Rebecca. She is unbelievably talented, organised, professional and is wonderful with the children she teaches.  Her lessons are always outstanding and we have received amazing feedback from parents and staff.

In addition, Rebecca has taken on our after school drama club. The drama club is always fully subscribed, which is a reflection on Rebecca and the fact that she is not only amazing at what she does, but also a lovely person to be around; staff and children alike all love spending time with her. The performances she has produced have been fantastic.

I would not hesitate to recommend Rebecca, she would be an asset to any school or organisation.

Kate Thistlewood, Teacher at Hill View Primary School, Runcorn

Imaginative! Inspirational…..just two of the words used by our schools to describe the work and achievements of their pupils following Rebecca’s drama workshops. Having worked with her in a variety of settings for over 10 years, I never cease to be amazed at how she brings out the very best in the children and it’s so rewarding to see the sense of achievement they feel as a result of this. Every school should have one!

Janet Whittingham, Music Education Commissioner At Accent Education Hub.

Rebecca’s direction and teaching have been of great value to the children. All have responded to her exceptionally well and grown as performers and people. Rebecca’s calm, polite, and enthusiastic manner has inspired the children to do things that at first they thought weren’t within their reach. When directing children with any physical needs, she has adapted the action well to ensure it is manageable whilst still highly effective. The level of challenge provided has also been very good, ensuring learners with memory processing difficulties have been able to learn routines suitable to their level, whilst still maintaining high standards for all students.. Rebecca has been great with the staff also, allowing them to have their input, and use their knowledge of the children to come to the best solution. Staff and parents feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. This has been a fantastic experience for the children, and personally I have learnt a great deal also. We look forward to working together with Rebecca in the future

Geoff Roberts, Chestnut Lodge Specialist School Widnes
